| ### Me, via support ticket: | |
| I am a paying user, and I pay for Packrat. | |
| I have a folder that was previously deleted and I would like to restore. | |
| Here's what I do: | |
| 1. Go to Dropbox.com | |
| 2. Browse to the folder that contains the folder that is deleted. | |
| 3. Click "Show deleted files" | |
| 4. Find the folder I need to undelete | |
| 5. Right click -> Restore | |
| 6. Wait about 12 seconds for the page to load. | |
| 7. Review all of the files. They're *all* there. 17,995 files (1,800 pages). | |
| 8. Click "Restore folder" | |
| 9. I get an error at the top of the page, back to my home Dropbox directory: "The folder | |
| '/path/to/folder' is deleted." | |
| ### Official Dropbox response: | |
| Hi Nick, | |
| Thanks for contacting the Dropbox Support! | |
| If the folder contains a large number of files to restore, then the process will fail to | |
| complete over a typical web request. | |
| I'd be happy to help you restore the files. Could you go to http://www.dropbox.com/events | |
| and let me know which of these events you'd like to undo? | |
| For instructions for obtaining the correct links, please visit: | |
| https://www.dropbox.com/help/400 | |
| This way, I can be sure to undo the appropriate events. | |
| Thanks! | |
| Best, | |
| Matthew |
