Privacy Policy for TimeAlign

Introduction
TimeAlign ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application TimeAlign (the "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
1. Personal Information
When you use TimeAlign, we may collect the following personal information:
Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo
Calendar Data: Meeting schedules, availability preferences, timezone information
Contact Information: Names, email addresses, and timezone data of team members you add
Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, preferences
2. Automatically Collected Information
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
Log Data: App crashes, performance data, diagnostic information
Location Data: Timezone information (derived from device settings, not precise location)
3. Calendar Integration
With your explicit permission, we access your iOS Calendar to:
Read existing events to determine availability
Create new meeting events
Update or delete events you create through TimeAlign
Note: We only access calendar data when you grant permission through iOS system prompts

Local Storage
Calendar data and personal preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage (SwiftData)
Local data is protected by iOS encryption and your device passcode/biometric authentication
Cloud Storage
Account information and team data are stored securely on our backend servers (Supabase/PostgreSQL)
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data transmission
Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
Data Retention
Active account data is retained while your account is active
Deleted accounts: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
Backup data is retained for 90 days for disaster recovery purposes
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We DO NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

With Team Members: When you add team members, they can see:
Your name, email, and timezone
Your availability windows you choose to share
Meetings you schedule with them

Children's Privacy
TimeAlign is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
